Artist Bio: Sally Ayre is a photo based installation artist living in Toronto. Sally works mainly with old photographic processes using a combination of photographic images and photograms on layers of silk. She draws her inspiration from nature and the wild landscape of Newfoundland where she was born and raised. She is an active member of Gallery 44, Centre for Contemporary Photography and the Tenth Muse Photo Collective. Sally is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and has been exhibiting her work since 1990.
