Curator Bio: Rodrigo Barreda is a Chilean-Canadian graphic artist, artistic director and curator. His work is concerned with the study of political art and the construction of an alternative interpretation of history. Barreda is the Artistic Director and Curator of the Solidaridad Museum Project of Toronto, and co-founder of the Salvador Allende Arts Festival for Peace.

Description: Awaiting Your Return is an exhibition curated by Rodrigo Barreda and co-presented with Solidaridad Museum Project in the context of the Salvador Allende Arts Festival for Peace. This exhibition brings together three artists: Lynn Murray (Toronto), Eduardo Menz (Montreal, originally from Chile), Julieta Maria (Toronto, originally from Colombia) to explore the portrayal of women within three distinct political periods of modern Chilean history. The artists examine the depiction of women in relation to dictatorship rule overcoming political violence.
