Description: The Toronto Animated Image Society and Gallery 44 have commissioned eight local artists to create new photo-based animations exploring the subject of "feeling photography", the title and them of a conference hosted by the Toronto Photography Seminar in October 2009 in Toronto.

The conference "Feeling Photography" will bring scholars working in a range of interpretive and theoretical approaches to interrogate the relationship between affect, emotion and/or feeling and photographic meaning. Gallery 44 and TAIS are pleased to support the creation of artworks that explore similar themes.
